RANGE SAFETY RULES
Safety is paramount at all times for all persons visiting the range. Members and their guests are to observe the following rules:
- THE CONSUMPTION OF ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES WILL NOT BE PERMITTED BY ANYONE ON THE GOLDEN TRIANGLE GUN CLUB RANGE AT ANY TIME.
- All firearms must be unloaded; slides bock and bolts or cylinders open except when firing from the firing line. All firearms on the firing line must have the muzzle pointed downrange. No person permitted downrange until all shooters on firing line have made their firearms safe by unloading and leaving actions open. DO NOT HANDLE ANY FIREARMS WHILE PEOPLE ARE DOWNRANGE. NO FIREARMS DOWNRANGE AT ANY TIME.
- Targets must be placed so that each and every bullet dies harmlessly in the backstop whether shooting at paper or metal targets.
- Commands by range officers must be obeyed at all times.
- The firing of all centerfire rifles must be conducted on the 100-yard, 200-meter and higher power rifle ranges only. Black powder rifles or .22 rifles may be fired in practice or competition on designated ranges. Pistols may be fired on the 100-yard range providing all bullets die harmless in the backstop.
- No climbing or digging on the backstops or side safety walls will be permitted.
- All firing must be done from the firing line only on all ranges.
- All Golden Triangle Gun Club rules and NRA safety rules and procedures must be obeyed at all times.
- Speeds within the Club boundaries must not exceed 10 MPH.
- METAL TARGETS MAY BE SHOT AT THE FOLLOWING DISTANCES ON THE SILHOUETTE RANGE ONLY.

- METALLIC TARGETS MAY ALSO BE SHOT ON THE 50-YARD PISTOL RANGE AS LONG AS THE METAL TARGETS ARE PLACED AT 50 YARDS. RIFLES AND PISTOLS MAY BE SHOT AT METALLIC TARGETS ON THE 100-YARD RANGE AS LONG AS THE METAL TARGETS ARE PLACED AT 100 YARDS. DO NOT SHOOT RIFLES AT THE SWINGERS ON THE SILHOUETTE RANGE
